The Slim Knit Ankle Pants

These pants are made with Varley’s trademark DoubleSoft fabric which is super lush, soft, cool to the touch but still super cozy. To me, these are trousers and too nice to jog in but they are a great travel pant or for your normal activities. I love that Varley offers this version without a band or cuff at the bottom as I’m short legged and a band or cuff makes me look even shorter. The 25” length fits me perfectly. The pants have two side pockets but the spokesmodel, Kaylie, is incorrect in that the back pockets are NOT functional, the opening are sewn shut and just for style. Interestingly, Varley designed these with an actual back pocket. I read on the Varley website where the person thought she had to tear them open, which she did, and then had to sew them closed again..

I was sure at this price point for sweats that they would at least be a decent pair. I was wrong. I’ve worn them twice, washed once per instructions, laid out to dry and they are pilling. The pants are pilling at the crotch and I was so surprised that I actually let out a “are you KIDDING ME?!” So loud that I scared my husband. In this economy, spending $250 on a sweat set is ridiculous but even more so when the quality just isn’t there. It’ll be going back.
