More elegant than the norm

These pants are made with Varley’s trademark DoubleSoft fabric which is super lush, soft, cool to the touch but still super cozy. To me, these are trousers and too nice to jog in but they are a great travel pant or for your normal activities. I love that Varley offers this version without a band or cuff at the bottom as I’m short legged and a band or cuff makes me look even shorter. The 25” length fits me perfectly. The pants have two side pockets but the spokesmodel, Kaylie, is incorrect in that the back pockets are NOT functional, the opening are sewn shut and just for style. Interestingly, Varley designed these with an actual back pocket. I read on the Varley website where the person thought she had to tear them open, which she did, and then had to sew them closed again..

already pilling

I was sure at this price point for sweats that they would at least be a decent pair. I was wrong. I’ve worn them twice, washed once per instructions, laid out to dry and they are pilling. The pants are pilling at the crotch and I was so surprised that I actually let out a “are you KIDDING ME?!” So loud that I scared my husband. In this economy, spending $250 on a sweat set is ridiculous but even more so when the quality just isn’t there. It’ll be going back.

Poor quality

I bought this pant and a pullover in black. The pants after first wash, and before wear, have a white spot on upper leg. I reached out to Varley as it appeared to be an area the dye did not take to the material. Varley stated their support was only for customers that purchase directly through them. Very disappointed in the brand not standing behind a flawed product. As I took tags off and live over 3 hours from a nordstroms I am at a loss. Would expect better at the price point for these.

Love the look, but quality doesn’t match price

Pants feel and look great. However I’ve already noticed some pilling after wearing a couple of times for a few hours each. Very disappointing for the price and brand.

elevated comfort

I bought these pants after purchasing a few pairs of the joggers and becoming obsessed with the fit and the fabric. Sizing is the same as the joggers - I tend to be a 4/6 in bottoms but have a more athletic and slightly curvy build and wear a size XS with Varley bottoms (shorts/pants). I love the fact that these can be dressed up a bit for a slightly more elevated look or just styled down to be completely cozy. Highly recommend if you want something comfy and versatile as an alternative to leggings or joggers!

Classy Comfort
