The Phoebe Flats

Finding shoes that fit BOTH my feet is always a challenge! A bunion on one foot requires me to size up for width but oftentimes are then too long for both feet and too wide for the other foot. So far, The Phoebe seems to work in width and length since they offer a WIDE option. And the strap really helps in preventing my foot from slipping out. The extra padding is also a nice touch considering most flat shoes offer little to no support.

I'm thoroughly satisfied with my purchase of the Cognac Nappa and the Phoebe in Burgundy. The leather is lovely, very soft, and the shoes are flexible with a gentle fit. A note on sizing: they do run small. I'm between 8. 5 and 9, and the 39 was the right choice for me, though I may order a wide rather than a medium in the future. One other thing to be aware of: the soles on both styles are quite slick, so if you live in a winter climate, walk carefully. Overall, I find myself gravitating toward my Phoebes. In a world where women's shoes seem to fall into two camps, either too delicate, strappy, and ballet style, or clunky, thick soled, and moon bootish, the Phoebes give me everything I want. Sleek. A unique shape. Comfortable. And I can wear them with everything but sweatpants. I'll likely be adding two or three more pairs to my closet.

This is my second pair of Phoebe's -- loved the first black ones so much that I bought another pair in leopard. The soles are SO thin they require taps or resoling immediately -- just one or two wearings and the fronts look frayed and old. The fit and the look are fantastic -- BUT a bit more quality control here!
