Syd Woven Leather Tie Belt

Good quality leather with nice gold hardware - for the price, it's a steal compared to similar Isabel marant belts! It's a simple belt that makes a basic outfit more upscale. Definitely order as a staple to add to your closet (Not sure why they have sizes, because all the belts are 55" in length.)

This belt is almost like a piece of art! The hardware is beautiful and has some heft to it. The braided leather is so high quality. It took me a minute to figure out how to properly tie it (thankfully it comes with a diagram) but once I mastered it, it was pretty easy. And once properly tied, it stays put all day and does not loosen up. I wore it with a dress but it is also really nice with high-waisted pants. However, be aware that when used with pants, it takes a little bit more work to open and retie than a standard buckle. I’ll likely use it more with dresses than pants. It runs true to size. I usually get belts in XS or S (size 4 pants) and got the XS/S in this. When tied, the longer tail (it comes with one side slightly longer) hangs with about 3 inches, which is perfect for me. If you prefer longer tails, I would recommend sizing up. I loved this so much I got both colors. It’s the kind of belt I can see keeping for years.

The belt is good quality and has some heft to it however I couldn’t get over that I had seen the belt somewhere before. Yes, it’s like a bolo tie from my days living out west. Just a larger version of the bolo braid with gold caps on the ends instead of silver. Too much like a horse bit and bridle with the gold buckle on the braid as well. If you like the retro western look then this belt may be right for you. Size up to allow room for fancy knots and to allow the ends to hang a bit.
