Newport H2 Hybrid Sandal

I've worn TEVA sandals for years until my arthritis became too uncomfortable in most shoes. This sandal is a very tight squeeze for me so I use a she horn to slip the back strap on. The footbed is a bit rough for older feet, so I wear thin socks. Overall still a good outdoor shoe.

After two long seasons of almost daily water aerobics use in my backyard pool, the straps have come unglued from the footbed and I will replace these. They provided good stability for bouncing around on sloping surfaces and dried out in our desert climate between uses. They length ran ever-so-slightly short (size 11) but for pool use, it was not critical. I would not wear them hiking. I am going to try another version for even more arch support next. They are a bit wide but that works for me.

When I first got them & wore them in the house for 2 hrs. or so they were fine/ plenty of width & adjustability with the elastic cords. But when I wore them for longer than that my little toes were getting caught/smashed where the toe end part rounds & where the footbed leaves the little toes. I tried a band aid on the toes for padding & that helped some, but not enough. Finally I tried them with short socks & have gone 8 hrs. with no problem. I am also glad they are roomy enough for socks in colder weather. They do run wider than a normal medium, but since I now need wide it worked out. I ordered my normal size 8 & yes getting them on takes some effort but it's not a big deal when I open the elastic as much as possible at the top. The footbed is supportive.

This is my third pair of Keen sandals in this style. The last pair was a Women's size 8. So, I ordered a Women's size 8. 5 and they are really really too tight. I can wear them and hope that they will break in . . . by the way this is actually seventh pair of Keen shoes/sandals and I really love them. But, why did you change the sizing???
