returning this SAK

This brand has been iconic until now! Both the tobacco leather crossbody "Melrose" bag for a gift and must return. Three reasons: 1) the plastic bag the purse arrived in had a slice in it, and when I took the plastic off, the leather itself had a slice mark in it across the front of the purse. Not good, warehouse! 2)the zipper are chunky , stiff, and difficult to open to the point I thought there was some paper or thread stuck in the teeth. Nope! Just a cheap zipper The inside nylon zipper worked fine. 3) Not impressed by "embossed leather". Pattern is flattened in some areas Disappointed SAK!

returning this SAK

I love the Melrose cross

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the Melrose cross body purse for the pockets and overall fantastic functionality. I already have it in another color (indigo). I wanted something fun for fall so I took a chance on the persimmon suede. Fair warning, the color is very orange in person. Not a bad thing, but it's definitely not subtle. I'm returning this because the strap leather quality isn't what I expected. The leather feels very smooth, not pebbled. The strap is lumpy at the stitching where the strap pieces are joined. It's just inferior compared to the quality of my blue melrose bag. I'm going to order it again in black cherry though because this really is my favorite purse out of my sak collection.
