Islington Leather Bucket Bag

It's a high quality, beautiful bag. The leather is soft and the bag has structure. Great crossbody or shoulder bag. However, as someone who is used to flap purses, larger bags, tote bags, etc., the opening of this bag isn't that big. The cinch on either sides of the bag prevents it from opening fully and the short handle over the opening also gets in the way of me being able to quickly grab things from inside the bag. If you're a small bag or minimalist type of person, you'll love this bag. It's not too small where you can't carry all your necessities and it's not bulky and round like other bucket bags. The strap is adjustable and is perfect for my 5'5" height.

Such a beautifully crafted bag but I did return it. The bag will fully open, you just have to pull open the belt because it’s a bit stiff. I loved the bag. It doesn’t get scratched easily, the color is lovely and dimensional, it’s light enough weight and a great size to fit what you need and some. The bottom doesn’t sag (though if they added little fit so it wouldn’t get dirty I may have kept it). The main issue I had with it was the gap at the top even when the bag was closed which felt like a security issue. There isn’t a way to not have a gap. I think a magnet would’ve helped with that. Otherwise would’ve kept.

Like the other reviews say… It is on the smaller side, but it easily fits my small wallet, soft eyeglass case, key pouch, lipstick, small mirror….all the essentials, but tight on the top for easy access. Almost too cute to return, but I haven’t worn it yet. I ordered in it chalk, which is a beautiful color for spring and summer, not too white/light of a color that it doesn’t go perfect with black attire. Has dark edging around the leather so I feel it’s a good combo to wear with black, denim & navy. I’d say the style is elegant with a little current edge. If you are looking for something a little bigger, order the mini zippered Bayswater (which is my current fav) it is the perfect everyday size! The bucket bag is perfect for a day or evening when you only need the essentials.
