So terribly small!
There are times when you make a purchase knowing there might be a few issues after reading previous reviews, this time regarding size, but still believe it will all work out in the end. However not so with this dress and it is a real shame. This dress deserves more than two stars on appearance only but the sizing is just something I can’t comprehend as is so terribly off. There weren’t many reviews on Nordstrom so I researched this dress elsewhere and sizing seemed to be a common problem in the reviews. For reference I am a solid size 6, curvy figure, 5’3” tall and needed a white graduation dress for graduate school. It needs to be said that the dress would have been perfect for the occasion as it is formal and elegant with a solid crepe fabric to hug the figure, and it is lined. Also something to be aware of is that there is no stretch in the fabric which can be an issue regarding bending and sitting. This dress checked off all the boxes for me as this style is flattering to my body type and I couldn't find many similar styles elsewhere. Due to reviews stating it ran small, I purchased a size medium, just to be safe as I always wear a size small and a few reviews mentioned sizing up one size. When it arrived I was elated to try it on but I could barely get it over my hips it was so incredibly tight. Once on it was odd as the halter part didn't fall where it should and zipping it up wasn’t even an option. Honestly this dress is about two-three sizes too small. It is that snug! I think if you're a straight, tall figure and not curvy this dress might… might… be a good choice for you but for me there was no making this work. Good luck to you as this dress could be something very special in the right size and on the right body type.
