Gold-Plated Round Cut Amethyst Studs

I ordered the deep purple (amethyst), gold plated round-cut studs for my partner, and I was deeply disappointed. We both love amethyst and aubergine colors, and we thought these studs met that deep purple color based on the pictures on Nordstrom's website. When the studs arrived today, the color was very light, like a pastel Easter purple. It is so light that it is almost clear with a hint of purple. My partner and I even think maybe the wrong studs were sent to us because there is a grave difference in the product color online from the actual product. We plan to send them back as we hate being deceived, just like anybody.
