'Ventura' High/Low Thermal Top

I ordered my usual size S in the 'african violet' & 'oatmeal heather' colors. I do like this top. Fit is tts & looks on me as in the pic. The violet color is vibrant & do like it as well as the oatmeal which is a great neutral. When I tried each one on I immediately noticed a slight snugness or restrictiveness in the bicep area where there are fabric seams. I thought it to be a little odd... I have thin arms, normal muscle tone. Upon taking each one off I felt a little relief which tells me they will probably bother me when wearing for a while. I decided to return both. Nordstrom has lots of other items to choose from & we are approaching Fall which means many more choices!

Let me start by saying I love the Free People brand and I get the brand and how the clothes typically fit. I am 6 feet tall and can typically work well with the line. I bought the large. I bought the heather grey top, which arrived the minute before I left on a business trip, and so I tossed it into my bag without trying it on. It was a busy trip and I still never got a chance to try it on, but I kept visualizing how amazing it was going to look with black skinny pants for the trip home. My business associates are fashion forward, so I can wear more casual outfits if they are on trend. On the morning we were leaving, I put it on and laughed when I saw myself in the mirror. It was so big and blousy - it really did look like a pajama top, like another reviewer mentioned. Even with the tightest of pants, it looked so sloppy and horrible, it was unwearable. It is going back. I really am disappointed - I was really hoping it was going to be fabulous. Instead I wound up with a pajama top with wings - that's another thing, the fit of the sleeves was very tight - which I like - but the armpit didn't come up past mid arm. Super weird! Too bad, I'm sad :-)
