Maximas Silky Hair Clip

I have learned how to clip these correctly. I have found that I need to have the heavier end of the barrette at the top of the head or the side to keep it from falling out. Sounds logical enough and I don't know why I didn't place it that way to begin with. Also, it seems the more I fill the entire length of the barrette with hair, the better it grabs. (even though the jagged "teeth" inside the barrette do not run the entire length) Both the medium and large size work for my shoulder length, medium- thick hair. The colors seem difficult to predict- burgundy seemed almost dark brown, the "jade" turned out a duller darker green than I had anticipated. Great barrette, gives a polished, sophisticated, and refined look.
