Diagonal Pleat Satin Top

Am rebuilding a wardrobe for in-office work that needs to be polished, with the ability to go dressier or more casual depending on the day. This top adds visual interest, works on its own or under a jacket or cardi. Fits well and looks feminine without being too tight or revealing. Feels like a core piece that will get a lot of use.

The fabric is beautiful and the stripe is just interesting enough, but I just don’t understand why this has to be asymmetrical. It would be such a stronger top if it was simply symmetrical with the stripes so that kind of messes with it for me because it makes it difficult to wear properly under a jacket.
