Dani Oversize Cotton Blend Sweater

My husband got me this sweater, at my request for my birthday. I got the large in black and white. I usually wear extra large in Free People but in other clothes 1X or 2X. I am about 5‘4“ and weigh 200 pounds. The large was huge on me. The sleeves came way down, almost to the end of my fingers. It is super heavy! I took a lint roller to it and it was covered with black lint! I had to use five sheets! I would certainly go down one size at least, maybe two? I did like the way the sweater looked. It reminded me of the old time ski sweaters. I kept it. I also noticed that it was on sale right after my husband bought it at full price!

I hate to contradict other reviews but this is my personal experience with the sweater. The material itself isn’t scratchy or anything like some winter sweaters which is nice and the pattern is pretty and feels very true to free people. Unfortunately the good stops there. I legitimately could not get my head into the sweater it was actually comical. I wear a M/L in regular sizing so normally a S in Free People sizing and with the reviews saying it was super oversized I trusted that. Between my head not going all the way through and the small fitting like an XS/S in a regular brand I was really disappointed in this sweater that I was super excited to receive and wear this winter.

I never write reviews, but I had to put this out there. I physically couldn’t even get this sweater on because the head hole was so ridiculously small. I like to believe I have a normal/small head, but it would not fit through the head hole. Maybe I got a faulty product, but it looks like another reviewer said the same thing.
