What it is: A specially designed textured puff designed to perfectly pick up, hold and apply Loose Setting Powder (sold separately).
How to use: Saturate the puff with powder and remove excess by tapping the puff on your hand. Gently press onto your skin, using a rolling motion to work the powder into skin. To clean, wash with mild soap by hand or machine wash in a lingerie bag.

Way beyond my makeup skill level...
I bought this for use with Laura Mercier loose setting powder (as recommended by the brand). I read the instructions and have tried and tried....I can't figure out what makes this useful.

A good pairing with the setting powder
I always buy a new one of these when buying the loose powder. It does work well with the product and it does wash well for the most part. My only gripe is that with the Velour texture it does trap a lot of dust and makeup bag dirt.

So luxe
This is definitely not a necessary purchase and I could only justify it as a treat - however, I just love using it. It feels so luxurious, applies the Laura Mercier translucent powder so gently and evenly and also washes really well, keeping its softness.
