What it is: The silky-smooth formula blends matte and luminous light diffusing pigments for the most natural flush of color.
What it does: Infused with encapsulated ceramides and blurring powders, this blush has a uniquely creamy feel, smoothing the look of skin texture and seamlessly builds from a sheer to a vibrant flush of color.
How to use:
Laura's technique for a natural flushed look: to reveal a healthy flush of color, swirl the matte and luminous shades together using the Cheek Color Brush (sold separately), desaturate on the back of the hand, and apply onto the apples of the cheek in a 'horseshoe' shape using circular motions from the outside-in. To blend, use the flat side of the brush with the handle pointing down for a natural diffusion.
Laura's technique for creating fullness with dimension: for a more dimensional look, apply only the matte shade onto the apples of the cheek. Then, sweep the luminous shade at the high points or where desired to create fullness, blending away and back towards the hairline. The contrast of the luminous shade layered above the matte will create a lifted look to the cheek

Beautiful finish
This blush is beautiful! It applies and blends so easily. The colors I chose are both lovely and very easy to wear. This was a blind purchase, and I’m very happy with it!

why????
The new colors run extremely warm, are too glittery and you can't get matte formulas anymore. This was a change for the worst.

Disappointed
I was so sad when I found out that Laura Mercier had changed their blush formulation. Though they kept the same names, the new colors are not the same. I used and loved the shade "Strawberry" for years. It was a pretty, bright but not too bright color that gave my 65 year old skin a youthful glow. The new blush with the same name is not the same in any way. First of all, I don't care for blushes where you have to swirl two different colors or one matte color with another shimmer color together, because I find it difficult to get a consistent result because you can't mix the colors the same way every time. I tried to use just the matte color, but it looked very orange on my skin. The two colors mixed together are prettier, but a little too shimmery for me. I have a little texture on the left side of my face and I think this blush emphasizes it. On a positive note, it does seem to have better staying power than the old blush. I will use up the blush I have but I probably won't purchase it again. Sad and disappointed.

Long wearing, natural looking
I have a few of the power blush in the previous formula, which I already thought was excellent. I loved the previous Rose color, so I was kinda sad that the new version looked lighter. Happy to report the new color is very similar to the previous, just slightly lighter. The new formula offers both matte and luminous versions... I wouldn’t call it shimmer because it’s more subtle, but it leaves a beautiful glow. Lasts all day on my dry skin and can be built up to a more dramatic finish if desired.
