I don’t agree with these reviews. I’m a 26 in mother. I got these is 26. They are fabulous. They are rigid, so not stretchy. Maybe that’s what ppl are complaining about. With time they’ll fit to your body shape. I love them as they are. I already have them set aside for a big event. With the cutest top. Love these!!! Fun statement jeans. The length is 31 supposedly. It fits like a 32 in length to me. But that’s my inseam, so great!

typical fit for MOTHER rigid denim
I was hesitant to purchase these based on the reviews but decided to give it a shot. In the past I have found that many people struggle with sizing the rigid denim styles, but I actually prefer them. I'm usually a 24 in rigid Mother styles, and that's exactly what I ordered. (Usually a 23 or 24 in Mother stretch denim) They fit perfectly in the waist, hips, and thighs. I am 5'2 and weigh just under 100lbs with longer legs and shorter torso. Due to those factors, these hit me at a high mid rise (belly button ish) and are a bit too long. They have a raw hem so if they don't shrink up in the wash I'm fine with just cutting the bottoms. (For reference my usual inseam sweet spot is 30 inches to be able to wear a low heel and a flat/sneaker) As far as the leg opening is concerned, I measured them against my Mother Lemon Twists and they are about the same throughout the leg and at the bottom. Only reason I'm uncertain about keeping them is that unlike the twists, which have a beautiful flowy leg when I walk due to the Cotton/Lyocell blend, the rigid denim doesn't flow quite as nicely. Haven't decided yet if that's a deal breaker for me or not. The color is a nice gold/yellow, which is one of the things that attracted me to these. I live in Buffalo, NY and feel these will pair nicely with some of my Sabres Gear on game days.
Final advice on sizing, if you are accustomed to the rigid Mother denim, go with your usual size. If not, maybe size up one.

runs very small and leg is bell bottom
The leg is much wider in person. These install compared to other mother jeans. I could barely get the 24 on. Kinda short in the crotch too.
