The Essential Button Up

I love the leafy green print, the material is thin and should work on this rare 80+ degree Seattle Spring day. Fits TTS for me (medium 34DD), no gapping. I really like that there are no breast pockets and that the sleeves are loose. The placket is seam-bonded down on both sides, so no annoying wrinkles under the buttons, yay!

I love this shirt. It is comfortable and well-made. I am long-waisted so, frustratingly, many women's tops are not long enough to suit me, but this shirt is long enough in the waist to fit well and still be a regular shirt, not a tunic. If I do not roll the sleeves up, they are long enough to cover my upper arms, which is what I want. The shirt looks great with jeans or nicer athletic pants (like Vuori's straight-leg pants), and sneakers or nice flats. I wash it in cold water on the gentle cycle, hang it to air-dry, and it always looks nice afterward. It has become my go-to shirt to wear when I do not want to think about what to wear. I like it so much that I ordered several more in the other colors and prints. For reference, I am 5' 7.5" tall, weigh 160, and have a 40" chest and I ordered the size large. I like a loose fit and the large gives me that.

This is a well-made shirt. It is comfortable 100% cotton. I like the longer short sleeves. The print is fun and eye-catching and can be worn with jeans, black pants, or a skirt. Because it is simple to pair with other pieces and always looks nice, I find myself reaching for it often, especially when I am in a hurry and do not want to take the time to fuss over deciding what else to wear. I machine wash it inside-out (as I do all of my clothing to protect the outside fabrics) in cold water on the delicate cycle and air dry it to prevent shrinking. So far it looks as nice as when I purchased it. I am 5 ft. 7.5 inches, 160 pounds, with a 40 inch bust and I purchased this top in size large.
