The East/West Water Repellent Tote

This large bag seems like a great multi-purpose tote. I purchased the beige one for school, but I didn’t like the fabric. It feels poncho-like; good for rain, except the top doesn’t zip all the way from end to end. The material also isn’t sturdy enough to keep the bag standing upright, and instead, it tends to flop with all items inside getting thrown around-despite the amount of pockets. Overall, I expected better quality for the price. I decided to purchase the North-South tote in black. Apparently the black has a different texture and is more similar to the weekender- according to Beis’s Instagram story. Hopefully that one works best for my needs.

Love the canvas and features of this bag for carry on. It’s larger than it looks, and there are several inside compartments for glasses, water bottle, pens, laptop, etc. The newer, Beis Weekender with zippered bottom compartment (bought for my daughter on the Anniversary sale) is larger, but it’s stiff- not as easy to put under the airplane seat. I access my travel bag frequently in flight and prefer under seat to overhead storage. The only minor note with this bag is the top zipper - when closed, there are gaps on each end, so if smaller items aren’t secured, they could fall out. Love this Beis!!

This bag is incredible. It fits absolutely everything I could need and the multiple strap options are very nice. The quality is great for a daily use bag, I feel that it will not get dirty easily. It is bigger than I expected but that's not a problem since I am using it for daily work/gym use. The water bottle holders were the biggest selling point to me. They fit my 32 oz (about 3.5 inch/8.9 cm diameter) RTIC/YETI/Hydroflask bottle which is what I needed. Definitely recommend!

I like this tote as a carry-on that doubles as a shopper bag when traveling. PRO Pockets are perfectly placed and easy to find items. I agree with the complaints about the zipper not extending the entire length of the bag, BUT I figured out why. There are internal water bottle pockets. I didn't have to unzip my bag to reach my water bottle! CON: The zipper isn't "travel level"...if you over-stuff the bag the zipper will pop...ask my teen daughter;)

I love this fabric for heavy travel. It feels like a nylon canvas material. The interior water bottle pockets aren’t big enough for my water bottle, but I still love the storage capability of the pockets and compartments and am pleased with the bag. Bag fits great over a carry-on sized roller suitcase.
