- Wipe the candle with a damp cloth to keep it clean and beautiful. Do not burn the candle for more than four hours at a time. Always trim the wick to 1/8 inch before each use by gently breaking off burned edges with your fingertips. Ensure the wax melts to the edge of the glass during each burn. After extinguishing the flame, allow the candle to cool to room temperature before trimming the wick again. Keep the candle vessel upright at all times to prevent spills.
