- Wipe the candle with a damp cloth to keep it clean and beautiful. Do not burn the candle for more than four hours at a time. Trim the wick to 1/8 inch before each use for optimal performance. Gently break off burned edges of the wick with your fingertips and discard. Always burn the candle long enough for the wax to melt to the edge of the glass. Extinguish the flame and let the candle cool to room temperature before relighting. Keep the candle vessel upright at all times to prevent spills.
