MOTHER

Founded in 2010 by premium-denim industry pros Lela Becker and Tim Kaeding, MOTHER specializes in collections that present a juxtaposition of hard and soft. The brand evokes teenage rebellion, unconditional love and hilarious insult all at the same time (the company's name is a play on the duality of the word "mother," which can be nurturing or a cuss).

Best wide leg jeans!

Yes, the inseam is long on these. But for taller girls, these are perfect! I’m only 5’8” but have long legs. These fit perfect with mid-high heels! The weight in these is heavier but feel really comfortable on. They don’t have stretch but don’t feel stiff like rigid jeans do. They run a little big so I sized down one size. For reference I’m 140lbs. typically a size 27 in most brands and sized down to a 26 and still have some room.

HUGE

Outrageous sizing. I have not worn a size 26 since I was pre puberty. Mother you aren't fooling us by making huge jeans in smaller sizes. Just annoying me bc I had to order 3x and still tailor. I'm literally a 28 or 29 in all brands including prior Mother

Wanted to love these

I wanted to love these because am a huge fan of Mother Denim and have several pairs and wanted to add another, but they are SOOO LONG! Other than the length the style is awesome, the quality is amazing as always and I love the high waist. For reference I am 5’6”.

Long inseam

I have this same style in a lighter wash that are my favorite. They have a 32” inseam. I put this darker wash up to my older ones and these are a good 4” longer, 36” inseam. They’re ridiculously long. There’s no mention of the inseam in the description. Very frustrating and such a bummer bc the dark wash is beautiful. They’re also wider in waist and hips compared to my other pair. Returning!

Perfect Fit

The Lemon Twist Sneak High Waist (size 31) jean fits my body as well as any jean I’ve ever owned. I’m 5’10” and weigh 160 pounds. Thanks to previous reviewers I found the right size the first time. Love the denim’s softness. The rise is perfect. The color is flattering.

large and long

The color is great. These run very large. They do have some stretch to them but not as much as most mother jeans. The inseam is quite long, I ordered a 27 and the inseam measured 34”. Returning to try a 26 hoping that it keeps the 34” inseam (I’m 5’9”). Tired of the inconsistent vanity sizing. There is no world where I should be a 26 (or even a 27).
