Sterling Silver Eternal Knot Studs

I was so excited about these earrings. I cleaned one post with an alcohol swab, tried it on, and immediately loved it. They’re the perfect everyday knot studs. I will say they aren’t very shiny…more of a muted, matte finish. Unfortunately, when I went to take the second earring out of the packaging, I was poked by something extremely sharp. I was holding it by the post, so I was really caught off guard. When I looked closer, I found a sharp metal shard—almost needle-like—sticking out from inside the knot. I also noticed what looks like an earring back embedded inside the knot, which is strange and concerning. Overall, this feels like a major quality control issue, and I don’t feel comfortable wearing something that could pierce my skin. Major design flaw and makes me really question this brand…? :/ Needless to say, this pair will be returned! I do hope that Nordstrom notifies the brand!!
