Short Sleeve Lace Gown with Cascading Embellishments

The dress looks much better in the picture than in reality. It runs large, it has a long torso, un uncomfortable sleeve that keeps falling off while also being very tight on the arm, a bodice that is very thick and the boning doesn't help either. Also I found it very heavy since it has 4 layers - 2 organza and 2 polyester lining. And the lace is stitched onto the fabric not embroidered. Not for me.

I gained a lot of weight after some surgeries. I hate trying clothes on in the store. It’s also very difficult to find pretty dresses in my size in the stores. They are mostly frumpy and poor quality. This dress is the opposite. It’s stunning, excellent quality, very flattering and comfortable to top it off. I just need the length shortened but I’m going to feel great as the maid of honor at our niece’s wedding.

The dress is beautiful on, and the detailing is very pretty and not over the top. Unfortunately they don't seem to make this smaller than a 4. I am 5'8" and 119 pounds. The 4 is huge on me, so I'll need a good bit of alterations. Only thing I'm not a fan of is the boning in the bust area. Maybe I'll appreciate it more once I get it altered. But I love it for my daughter's wedding, and so does she. They make it in pink and gray, and that's the one we loved. (Sorry photos are blurry; they're screenshots from a video)
