Sheer Glow Foundation

I was using another foundation and it cost quite a bit more, but then I tried NARS in Barcelona, which is medium 4, and I stopped using the other brand. This is it! I don't like a matte finish. I like my foundation to be luminous with a nice finish. I use a little highlighter right on my cheekbones, though. Everything NARS makes is fabulous! The only thing they could've done is made the bottle with a pump instead of charging $6. That's my only complaint. I still gave it five stars, because that has nothing to do with the product. I absolutely love this stuff! And I think its fragrance free or very little fragrance at all. Check it out!

One of my favorite foundations right about now. I can opt for light or medium coverage from this - depending upon how I apply it. For a light coverage, usually when at home and not needing as much on, I dot a small amount of Sheer Glow around my face & neck, and use a slightly damp beauty blender to blend in. This gives a slightly dewy finish too. When I need more coverage and a more matte finish I apply with fingertips only. In either case this does slightly oxidize within the first hour or so, so if it doesn't look spot-on at first, give it a bit of time before reaching any conclusions. For me the color match is fantastic, it looks like I'm not wearing anything, very natural and a nice luminous look, or a 'sheer glow' if you like! Longevity is also great - I can get almost a full day out of this without it turning patchy or creasing. The only downside is there's no pump on the bottle - which for something at this price range I would have expected it to have as a given, and also no SPF in here so I have to apply an SPF separately, before my primer and this. This stuff is awesome, wish I had found it years ago. I have rosacea, sensitive skin and it covers, surprisingly well for a very light foundation, but it is also buildable. But it gives this lovely subtle glow, not shiny, disco at all, and it lets your real skin peak out, so it is just gorgeous. LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It does not clog pores, nor smell ( no perfume or fruit, flower smell---like no lavendar, nothing)and it makes your skin just look better. IT lasts well, doesn't cake at all. LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!! I have very sensitive skin and no problems with this. I also LOVE that is does not have sunscreen, because I use my own first, because I will only use all natural, zzinc oxide sunscreen, and all foundations that have it in it, don't let me use them, because they are all chemical. I put my sunscreen on, DEVITA, by the way, the best in the world, using it for 12 years now, then smashbox clear photofinish primer, the best for taking away wrinkle areas and masking big pores, which I have nose and chin, making foundation last, and I have no issues with it, then I will use smashbox zinc oxide setting powder, just because my T-zone gets oily, and this is me and always the case no matter what, and then keeps it away. I also love the yellow base for my rosacea, GOBI, perfect match for fair brown hair blue eyes red skin.....my biggest wish they never discontinue this.

Actually I was introduced to NARS Mont Blanc at another store. I liked it so much I stuck with it and reordered here at Nordstrom.com and it just arrived today. I have tried everything else Bobbie Brown, Estee, MAC, etc., and I love them all but NARS is the closest foundation to my actual skin - the color matching, the light coverage, the dewy look, not masky at all. I'm not young anymore but regularly am complimented that I look 10 years younger than my age - I believe NARS foundation adds to my "mystique". It is high quality. Try it.
