Upper: Ultralightweight mesh breathes easy while it flexes and recovers with every stride. The 3D molded heel cup locks your foot securely in place for distraction-free miles at any tempo.
Midsole Drop: 4mm. Classified as a low-drop measurement, it encourages shorter strides to help improve running cadence.
Lower: PWRRUN foam puts responsive cushioning underfoot while minimizing weight so it won't hold you back. Lower sidewalls and a straighter medial midfoot keep heel-to-toe transltions fluid for a smooth, streamlined ride. Targeted rubber in the tread puts grip only where you need it to avoid adding extraneous weight.

Running Boston Marathon in this shoe
I'm running Boston in the Kinvara. I can't run in shoes with high stack height or cushion and this is the only one on the market right now that I can run in.

Why continue to change this model?
What a bummer. This used to be my all time favorite shoe but I have not found the last several models to be anything close to the older versions. This one is totally different again, and although it is nice and light weight it is sooooo narrow. Completely uncomfortable compared to all my others years of kinvara. Seriously disappointed and since my feet still hurt from wearing them on my mid distance runs last week, they will not stay in the rotation. What a waste of money

So comfortable and lightweight I bought 6 pairs!
From my plantar fasciitis and nerve pain in small toes, finally found the perfect pair! I bought 6 pairs to keep a couple as back-ups in the closet! Kinvara 13 were perfect too! Kinvara 14 and Kinvara 15 were not comfortable for me. Love Kinvara 16. I've been using Saucony exclusively for about 30 years!

Best Runners Ever
As a health care worker, I need the best runners as I walk on concrete floors all day. Saucony runners are the only shoes I wear. With a flat foot , all my runners offset are a 4mm, neutral. It gives me the support and comfort I need.
