Tieguanyin (Iron Goddess of Mercy) is a darker-style, hand-rolled Taiwanese oolong from Nantou. Rich, sweet and complex with a smooth body and a gentle astringent finish, it stands up well to multiple infusions.
- Medium-oxidized. Ingredients: Taiwanese oolong tea. Caffeine: medium-high. Brewing: add 1 tbsp tea to 12 oz boiling water and steep 3 seconds, discard this infusion; then add 12 oz boiling water and steep 4 minutes, serve.
