Reva Satin Gathered Corset Dress

I ordered a few House of CB dresses for an event. They all looked beautiful online, but was hesitant when I saw poor reviews. I ordered an XS (my normal dress size) & couldn’t even zip it. Ordered a S & fits like a glove. Very flattering & gave me the illusion of an hourglass shape, & I have no hips or booty so loved that! I’m 115 lbs, 5’5”, 39 yo for reference. I live by online shopping & others reviews so wanted to share feedback on this dress.

i was so excited to try house of CB; I ordered 3 dresses and I'm sending all of them back :( This dress is really beautiful fabric and drapery but it's incredibly tight. if you want an actual tight but reasonable fit order a size up, if you want to be able to breathe order 2 sizes up. I'm a small and if I tried this on in store I'm sure I'd end up needing a large. I was hoping i'd get more bust action but it's pretty loose around the bust; I'm 34AA though so you might get more if you have a C-D cup (there was definitely some gaping for me)

The sizing is a hit or miss. I’m a true size 2 sometimes a 0. The S was too big everywhere and the XS was only zipped up to my waist and was way too tight up top, impossible to zip up. Also the fabric isn’t great, super heavy layers and provides no stretch. I was more worried about accidentally ripping off the security ribbon which was wrapped all the way around the dress (per photo).

This was the first dress I tried from House if CB and now I’m hooked. Very impressed with the quality and design, specifically with the corset. Not bulky or fit issues what I’ve experienced with other corseted dresses. Fits true to size. Definitely high quality fabric, zippers straps. Gives the girls a nice lift due to the corset, which felt very secure and slimming. This brand is now a favorite! I ordered the color Raisin. **also I got leg makeup on this dress a few hours before wearing it so I put it in the washer, dryer then steamed it and it was like brand new :)
