Portobello Slingback Sandal

Beautiful shoe. The footbed (last) is longer and thinner than a Birkenstock or Mephisto. I kept it anyway- it is a beautiful sandal.

I had an initial challenge with sizing, going with my usual size 8 which, after wearing around the house, I realized were too big. So I returned those for size 7 which is a much better fit. These have since become my favorite sandal - they took about a day for the leather to mold to my feet and then were heavenly to wear. They are the first open toe sandal that I will be comfortable wearing in public as they mask my bunions and hammer toe on left foot amazingly well. And, they are quite a handsome shoe.

The color is a dark brown just as pictured. The leather and hardware are good quality. There's a bit of cushioning on the footbed, and the sole is lightweight but not flimsy ,and flexible enough for comfortable walking. One of the sandals had a small cut on the footbed so I returned them and ordered another pair.
