Oversized Wool/Cash Sweater

This sweater pills like crazy. Even after the first wear it started pilling. I contacted the company to ask if my sweater was possibly defective given the price. Their response is that it’s normal for a sweater to pill after the first few wears, that’s just the loose fibers. I know enough about textiles and fabric quality to know that is just not true. Any wool or cashmere will pill. A sweater of even half decent quality won’t pill after a first wear. You might as well buy a sweater from a more affordable brand like COS or Everlane instead of a brand pretending to be elevated. Two stars because I liked the cut of the sweater. Looks good with a slim/straight leg jean.

While the make is okay, it is not worth the price tag. The image is also extremely deceptive. I ordered a medium for a more classic fit and was still expecting a slightly loose fit due to the image as well as the description/title. It is not oversized. Ordering up in size would not make it oversized. The weave is much heavier than it looks in the image (almost too heavy to layer with a winter coat) and the sweater falls just slightly past your hip bones at best. In order for the sweater to fit like the image you would have to be extremely petite and extremely short in stature. I've purchased sweaters at a fraction of this cost that fit better and feel better with an actual 'oversized' fit.
