Carbide Pertex® Shield Waterproof Snow Bibs

These are good bibs for the price, vent/breath well, keep me dry after hours wet snowfall, and have all the basics you'd want at this price point. I purchased a Large based on the size chart and past experience with OR ski pants and running shorts. I'm 6'5" and 197lbs with a slim athletic build and a 35" waist I find that the waist and even the thighs are a bit thin/small for a size that is suppose to fit a 37.5" waist and I have the suspenders let all the way out. Even then when I bend over or if I was to drop into a telemark turn the bibs are tight in the seat and even bind a bit. If OR is going to sell bibs they should include a height range on the size charts. Two other minor areas of improvement is that the lower leg flare is a bit more than needed and I would prefer (and left handed individuals might agree) that the chest pocket zipper be oriented horizontally across the top of the pocket rather than angled on the far right side of the pocket. I find it awkward to have so much of the pocket's interior way over on the left side of the bib and the zipper over on the right side. Also, the color of the blue bibs is darker than shown in the product picture. Know that these bibs are just a shell, there is no insulation. Nothing wrong with that, but OR leaves it up to the customer to infer that in product description.

I recently purchased these and have been very impressed. I have always worn second hand bibs and this was my first time buying some new. Light weight and much more comfortable than a pair of helly Hansen I was deciding between. If you sit down on something wet it will probably leak through but I'm not going swimming in these haha. Having short sizes is great. Durability is a concern, I have only worn these on 3 days so far and already have tears in the inner cuff from skis rubbing unfortunately. I'm 5'9" and 175* and medium short fit well for me with room for thermals and a light fleece pant underneath if needed

Great bib, love the fit and material. Pockets and zippers are in all the right places. I have enough room in the legs to add an insulated layer easily. The suspenders are nice and thick, but unfortunately the buckles are the weak link. One of them snapped literally the first time I used it. I tried gluing it but it broke again. The buckle kind of holds up when clicked, but it's pulling on the broken part and I expect it will fail sometime. Those parts are not standard buckles and I can't seem to find a replacement anywhere.

I got a great price on these at the end of the 24 season. I have worn them about 40 days. The waterproofing was suspect from the start. The fit is great for me. 5’7” Med Short. They are comfortable and easy to get on once you get used to the side zipper. The other issue is the durability around the bottoms. I have a dozen cuts from my skis. Even the inside double thick material doesn’t hold up to hard skiing. We’ll see what the company does with my warranty claim.

The zipper is awkward, the fabric is thin and won’t hold up, and they are essentially a pair of bell bottoms with huge leg bottoms and no Velcro to tighten them. You will essentially need to wear gators with them in most winter conditions. Absolute waste of money. They looked good on the website but in person all of the things that make a good pair of bibs good are either not there or done poorly. Terrible.
