Great shoe
When I bought these I didn't realize they're the shoes my neighbor has been walking in for years. When I complimented hers she said, "But they're sort of ugly!" Yet she loves them. I thought the Sandstone color was going to be more of a rust; it unfortunately isn't, but they're just about the best walking show I've ever worn. Took no time to break in; I walked for miles my first 2 days in them. I don't find them super attractive, and they have this weird 'cloven hoof' sole...but there's something fun about them. Like, they're so ugly they're cute? I do wish they came in better colors, like a dark navy or something. (Not sure why women's athletic shoes are so often in pastels or tan.) Regardless, I have bunions and special snowflake feet that give me trouble in all kinds of ways – but these shoes keep my feet (and back) happy.
For the record I like a wide-ish toe box and a narrow-ish heel, and am a size 9. I bought a 9.5, which I usually do in athletic shoes, and they fit perfectly, with just enough room. Love em!

wanted to love these but.... back they go!
Tried them on, fit true to size, they were very comfy to begin with. I went on a 5 mile leisurely walk and the result was painful. The back edge is a bit high around the ankle. As much as I wanted to love these and keep them, they’ll be going back as I attempt to heal the damage. Oh well.

Purchased the Sand/Wash color in my usual street shoe size 6.5 and the fit is perfect. No break in required. I broke my foot about a year ago and can't wear the road version of the Cloud (relatively no support). The Cloudventure provides great support on and off road and they are super lightweight. My only issues: small pebbles get stuck in the soles, and they can be a little slippery on wet smooth surfaces. NOTE: These are not the Cloudventure Waterproof but the regular Coundventure. Not sure why the Nordstrom description says "water repellent". The On website says "The technical engineered two-layer mesh upper provides optimal ventilation for cooling comfort even on tough climbs. While the inner layer offers a soft-step in and support, the outer layer provides breathable, lightweight protection."

These shoes were comfortable right out of the box. The rugged soles provide good traction on rocky trails an the color is good for hiding the dust of desert pathways. the fit is true to size with plenty of room in the toe box for my widish foot. The only negative for me is they could have been a little more cushy.

So Comfortable
I wasn’t sure about these because the reviews were mixed. When I got them I immediately tried them out and went for a run. All I can say is love love love!!! Definitely a fan of these shoes!

Best for trail jogging!!! Excellent. Firm.
This is the second pair of cloud ventures for me! Im very picky given I have metatarsal issues...I need a sneaker that has a slightly firm sole. These grip like Spider-Man! The grip is like no other hiking shoe I’ve ever had and I’ve been hiking 20 years. (Not serious hiking just trail jogging/hiking). Anyway these hold up to rain, looks gravel, snow, rocks etc. Excellent.
