A lightweight, full-featured infant car seat that can be installed with just a seat belt—and without the car base—makes it ideal for traveling by car or taxi.

Why parents will love it: An ergonomic aluminum carry handle is both lightweight and luxe with leatherette accents for comfortable toting and superb grip. Integrated magnetic buckle holders keep straps out of the way when buckling baby in, and color-coded installation indicators assure the seat is properly installed. Open belt path with lock-off secures lap and shoulder belts. For extra peace of mind, the seat is flame-resistant and free of flame-retardant chemicals, so you won't have to worry about their long-term effects on your child.

Why kids will love it: A three-position, height-adjustable headrest and five-point harness keeps your little one comfortably in place. Infant head and body inserts are made of a soft merino wool and Tencel® lyocell blend that comfortably control moisture so baby stays cool and dry. The two-position canopy has UPF 50+ protection and a flip-out eye shade to shield little eyes from the sun. The iconic Sky drape™ provides baby with ultimate privacy for quiet moments.

Safety features: Side-impact protection; FAA certified for aircraft use with or without a base; crumple zone within stability leg. Integrated antirebound panel provides an additional layer of rear-facing security.

Car installation: True lock™ installation that takes just five seconds makes the base easy and quick to install; seat also installs without the base with vehicle seat belt.

Stroller compatibility: Compatible with all nuna strollers (all sold separately; adapters required and not included).

Nordstrom switched with cheaper car seat!
I ordered this as a baby shower gift and when I asked if they received it, it didn’t seem like it was the same thing I had ordered. When we compared item numbers, Nordstrom had not delivered what I had ordered. They delivered something much cheaper. When it was brought back to the store, the sales person asked if they would like to pay extra to get what I had actually ordered!!! I am beyond frustrated with Nordstrom. All the shoes I ordered as Easter presents, came in boxes that were smashed. And I have found out that over the years presents that I have sent online to people have never included cards indicating who they were from. Nordstrom, I don’t know what is going on, but I am not happy.

huge canopy flaw
I have been using this car seat for 6 weeks, and although it has a lot of positives, I cannot rate it higher due to some quality issues I am already seeing. Pros: -super lightweight -compatible with most strollers with extra attachments -the Relx base is so great and easy to use -nice material and it’s great that it comes with an extra set of inserts to have on hand if one is washing -the side magnets for the safety belt inserts are useful to keep the belt out of place when putting my baby in and out of the seat Cons: -I read reviews about the curated color having issues with the canopy, however I purchased the caviar color, and only 6 weeks in the canopy is super flimsy and doesn’t stay securely in place. If I as much as drive over a speed bump, the canopy retracts -the magnets for the extended shade don’t work well. The extended shade is impossible to keep secure, and one side always pops off -the leather piece on the handle is already fraying Although this car seat isn’t technically meant to last longer than a year, for a car seat of this price, I should not be seeing these issues in less than two months. The cosmetic wear is one thing, but the issues with the canopy are quite disappointing.
