Trim Fit Non-Iron Dress Shirt

Husband didn’t even have a chance to wear it! After the first wash (delicate cycle), the collar started coming apart at the seam! Followed care instructions and everything. Just bad quality & craftsmanship. Bought it during a flash sale so it was 60% but still upset about spending any money on it. Only upside is that I didn’t pay full price.

This shirt is pretty perfect. It's well constructed and sturdy without being heavy. I like that the collar is pretty tall, the seams are solid, and the cuffs are nice. Cheaper shirts feel flimsy in these areas. I also like that the non-iron treatment is fairly light, which means it breathes pretty well. Sure some other shirts may be totally wrinkle-proof, but then they feel stiff and artificial or shiny and can get hot. The fit is trim without being skinny or tight.

I'll start off by saying that my closet is filled with almost exclusively Nordstrom-brand, slim-fit dress shirts that I've purchased over the last few years. Now admittedly, I haven't purchased a new one in a while since I don't wear them as frequently, but I find it hard to believe they've changed THIS much. For some reason, the new shirts were EXTREMELY tight on my forearms. As in, so tight I was worried about losing circulation in my hands. I compared with shirts in my closet, and it just seems to be the new cut of these shirts. Needless to say, I am very disappointed.

I’ve always struggled with the sloppiness of dress shirts around the stomach/waist area - always way too much material. These trim fit shirts are a perfect fit for me, and give me a neat, professional look. The non-iron feature also works great, if you follow the directions (tumble dry a bit, and then hang dry). I usually wash my dress shirts every 2 or so weeks, so they all get done together - makes the overall job a snap, and cuts back on ironing time. BTW I’m 5’11 and 220, and the “slim fit” is perfect for me. While I haven’t considered myself “slim” in 40 years, for these shirts it is what I am.
