What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:This jacket is all about warmth-to-weight efficiency. Its the piece we trust when conditions are cold, dry, and demanding, especially for alpine objectives where every ounce matters and mobility cant be compromised. Some jackets are designed for comfort, others for commitment. The Rab Mythic Ultra Jacket sits firmly in the second camp. This is the layer we reach for when the plan involves altitude, cold air, and long hours exposed to the elements, where efficiency matters just as much as warmth. Filled with ultra-lofty 900-fill European goose down and wrapped in lightweight Pertex Quantum fabric, the Mythic Ultra delivers exceptional insulation without weighing us down. Offset baffle construction helps trap heat more effectively, while the Thermo Ionic Lining reflects warmth back toward the body when temperatures drop deep into the negatives. A helmet-compatible hood, articulated sleeves, and a two-way front zip keep movement fluid whether were climbing, belaying, or managing layers at a stance. This is a highly specialized piece, built for cold, dry alpine environments where performance comes first and compromises arent part of the plan.
