Killed the Grand Canyon in my Merrells

Hiked a Rim to River to Rim in the GrandCanyon in my Merrells. They were absolutely brilliant. Lightweight and great traction. No blisters.

Too hard to clean after every use.

I bought these shoes about a month ago in the blossom/crimson color. They are lightweight and comfortable. That being said, I have never had a shoe get so dirty so fast and they are hard to clean. The soles requiring significant brushing and cleaning (with soft scrub on soles) after every use. The yellow part of the footbed (that shows) is constantly dirty and scuffed and I’ve not run marathons. These have mostly been beach, footpath shoes but the constant cleaning makes them not worth it. I noticed no one else complained of this but I could not find reviews on this particular color. I would not but these again-at least this color

Comfort and great styling

I get so many compliments on these shoes. The fluorescent orange and pink are beautiful colors together and the shoes are really comfortable and supportive

The Long Sky 2 Matryx is a fantastic trail shoe!

I purchased the original Long Sky trail shoes when they first came out and loved them, but the Long Sky 2 is even better! I run in Sedona and the wide toe box, grippy sole, and low ankle collar are perfect the the slickrock, loose rock, and uneven terrain of the red rocks.

great

Would have given it a 5 but the shoe tends to squeak

Thank you. A squeak is usually caused by tiny air pockets in-between the insole and the foot bed. A little baby powder in between the insole and the foot bed or a new insole usually does the trick. If not, please let us know and we will get you taken care of. Our team can also help at 800-288-3124 or live chat at Merrell.com.

Good performance in a variety of conditions

Got these a month ago for short trail and OCR events. I love them. They are light weight, have great grip and drain well in wet conditions. Recently used them for the Castle Alpine Trail race in Alberta Canada (28 km and 2000 m of elevation gain) and I was super impressed with their performance and comfort on the technical climbs and descents. I got my standard shoe size and didn’t go down the recommended half size, they definitely run a bit large but I was grateful for the extra room in the toe box on the descents
