Marigold Belted Maxi Dress

really wanted to love this dress—it’s beautiful, made of high-quality fabric with thoughtful details. However, the fit between the waist, bust, and shoulders feels off. I purchased a size 2, which fits my 26” waist perfectly. But when zipping up, there’s a specific section where the fabric doesn’t stretch at all, making it impossible to get the zipper past that point. It’s almost like the waist was cut too high, so the non-stretch panel hits awkwardly across the back, right where more flexibility is needed. Strangely, once past that section, the back panel becomes stretchy and much more accommodating. I could fasten the top clasp without issue, but the sleeves kept slipping off my shoulders. It seems like the upper portion was designed for someone much taller or with extremely broad shoulders—even though I already have broad shoulders myself.

This dress is beautiful. I am 5’3, 139lb, 32DD, athletic build- size 6 is perfect without being too tight. It is long but with heels, I think I can get away without hemming it. These days, this is a great dress for $200. Color is more muted in person, gorgeous yellow. I am normally a size 6 in dresses/ skirts/ pants. I’d love to see and try more from this brand!!!

Obsessed with this dress! The sizing is accurate, maybe a tad small but it just gave me a tighter corset vibe versus the looser fit in the photo, but I liked it even better! The dress is pretty long which was perfect for me since I’m 6’1” and it hit a few inches above the ankle which still looked great. 10/10 recommend! It’d be great for a spring wedding, shower, etc.!

I've been looking high and low for a formal, yet spring-y dress to wear to a friend's upcoming wedding and was pleasantly surprised by this dress! It's very flattering and combines a light and airy feel with the more structured silhouette, which makes it formal enough for a fancier event. My only complaint is that the belt doesn't stay tight, but looking into a safety pin for an easy fix. I am smaller on the top, larger on the bottom and it can be hard to find a dress that fits quite right, but this fit well in my usual size (8) without sizing up or down).
