Lovely shirt with nice detail but not oversized

I really wanted to love this shirt. I got a L and XL because it said it's oversized. The XL fit decently but I wouldn't say it's oversized (like other EF pieces I own). Unfortunately at 5'9" the sleeve length was more like a 3/4 sleeve when I extended my arms. While the shirt fit, it was a little boxy and also shorter than pictured. Historically EF has accommodated my long limbs without looking like a potato sack, but no such luck this time. It's a shame because it's a beautiful shirt with character and a nice weight (not too thin to thick). I wanted to keep it, but I know I'll never reach for it if I do. If you're a little shorter or have narrower shoulders, please get it and enjoy it for me!

Wrong size sent

This is great shirt...nice fabric, good quality ...Typical EF style and extra large fit. I am very disappointed because I ordered this shirt in XXS and received a marked M. I ordered this because i wanted it to go with the pants. I will now have to return them as well since I won't have a matching top. I am giving it 4 stars despite the wrong size being sent.

Not sure

This linen shirt is attractive, but stiff and scratchy. I'll wash it a few times more, but if it doesn't soten up, it will be donated.

More Versatile than I Expected

Okay, I'll write the first review. This is my first band collar shirt, and the V of the neckline is quite lovely. The shirt itself is relaxed, light, and airy - just what I expected from EF's puckered linen. I am 5'7" and this Basic fit is perfect for me, hitting below my waistline. What I did not expect is the deep wheat color - it appears MUCH lighter on the model than it really is, and the white stripes are hardly discernible. However, this does not detract from the style of this top but actually adds to its versatility. In my closet, it pairs beautifully with all my white, bone, biscuit, wheat, and cocoa pants (I am not adventurous with color and buy mostly neutrals - I'm sure you can find other combinations in your own closet). Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase and once again ask for MORE BASIC OPTIONS!
