The Monterey Tall Boot (Women)

First, these boots are absolutely beautiful and I am so glad that I purchased them. No regrets. Now, I read every single review before I purchased them. Here is my recommendation based on what I’ve read and my own experience. Measure your calves. The regular calf boot shaft is 14 1/2 inches in circumference. My calves are 14 1/4 inches in circumference. They fit beautifully. Also, I’m one of those people who is really a 7 1/4 shoe size. I can go up and I can go down. In these boots, I went down to a size 7 and they fit perfectly with a little room to spare. A size 7 1/2 would’ve been too large. I noticed on the Madewell website that the circumference of the wide shaft boots was 16 1/2 inches. That said, please measure your calves before you buy because yes, these boots may not be for everyone, but if you have calves that fit within the parameters of either the regular or wide shafts, you will have no regrets buying. Perfect tan color. Gorgeous leather. Ideal heel height. Absolutely gorgeous.
