The Barrel Jeans

I have historically not liked Madewell denim but this past year I have purchased 5 pairs! This is my favorite jean in my closet currently. The baby barrel is noticeable but not overstated like most barrel. The denim is soft and great quality. I love this lighter color for the rest of summer and I also purchased the darker color they have in store. I sized down because they do stretch out a little bit but beware, these are definitely cropped. I'm 5'5" and they are perfect on me but if you are taller, they will be too short.

This Jean is cute and fit everywhere but the waist. There is a gap in the back. This Jean hits right at the belly button. I feel like going down a size would be too tight in the hips. I think I’ll return and keep looking. For reference I my hips are a 42, natural waist 32, and I ordered a 30. I’m 5’4” and the length was perfect for a cropped look.

I love these jeans! They fit like a glove for me and the waist band doesn’t cause any muffin top despite me having some extra love on my mid section. I am super impressed with how nice the denim feels and how much you’re able to move around in these jeans. They’re definitely my go-to jeans now for every day activities. I’m 5”4’ and 150lbs with an apple shape, and these jeans are super flattering! I’ll be buying more denim from Madewell in the future.

This denim is soft and drapey. I wish this style was a bit longer in length- I'm 5'7" and by the time fall comes around the barrel jeans feel a little short with regular sock and shoes (tho look great with Birks or summer sandals). I have the darted barrel leg jeans in several styles, these fit more true to size.

Love the new barrel jeans . Barrel leg not too wide. My new favorite go to jeans. Purchased in various colors.
