BEST BABY BARREL

I have historically not liked Madewell denim but this past year I have purchased 5 pairs! This is my favorite jean in my closet currently. The baby barrel is noticeable but not overstated like most barrel. The denim is soft and great quality. I love this lighter color for the rest of summer and I also purchased the darker color they have in store. I sized down because they do stretch out a little bit but beware, these are definitely cropped. I'm 5'5" and they are perfect on me but if you are taller, they will be too short.

SHRANK A FULL SIZE - First Wash

Bought these in short length originally but they had a weird cropped length unlike where they are "supposed" to land in the photos. Exchanged for full length in same waist and was excited to wear them. Washed them (Cold) and dried on low. Took them out of the dryer, still damp and couldn't even button them. AVOID.

gap in back

This Jean is cute and fit everywhere but the waist. There is a gap in the back. This Jean hits right at the belly button. I feel like going down a size would be too tight in the hips. I think I’ll return and keep looking. For reference I my hips are a 42, natural waist 32, and I ordered a 30. I’m 5’4” and the length was perfect for a cropped look.

Great jeans!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought these last month and have already been able style them dressed up and dressed down. Perfect amount of fit around the waist and hips with a looser leg. Not too exaggerated barrel leg. I’m 5’7” and 135 and have fuller hips and bought a size 28.
