Really Good Stuff
I followed the reviews and bought this product in what seemed to be the favorite color (Painterly) and it does not disappoint. I thought I was using a good shadow base until I put this on. It does what it says it does. Shadow stays put and I don't have to keep going back and forth with the brush to get it to completely fill in. I can't say enough about the product and the color, just what everybody else says, "get some." I do wish that when people review a product that they mention the color they are talking about whether it be a cosmetic, an article of clothing, or a pair of shoes. It helps when folks do that.

Pro long wear paint pot
I have used many primers over the years to prevent creasing on my over 50 eye lids. I tried painterly and soft ochre. I also found them to be drying and hard to apply. If you have long nails, you must use a cream eye shadow brush to apply them! Afterwards, I found the brushes difficult to clean, even with the appropriate brush cleaner. My shadows also creases within hours after application. I love MAC eyeshadows, blushes, eye liner pencils and lip sticks. They really miss the mark with the paint pots!

PAINT POT TO THE RESCUE!
This product is an answer to my prayers!! I could not find an eyeshadow primer that worked well for me. This pot is primer and shadow in one! I use Painterly and as others have said, it’s the perfect base color. That’s all I have on in the photo - thank you to all the other reviewers - you helped me immensely!

A more natural eyelid base.
Seems like everyone in the world likes Painterly the best, but you may want to try this shade, too. It has enough of a peach/pink edge that it evens out any redness or darkness. It provides a slight differentiation of shading compared to using the same shade as your under eye concealer — and that gives a more natural look. In nature, your eye socket isn’t the same skin tone as your undereye, wouldn’t you agree!

Love It
I tried the paint pots in Painterly and Ochre colors. Both are great neutral colors that give you a matte finish. Ochre is more warm toned and Painterly is cooler. They were easy to apply and blend with my finger. Warning-they dry fast so you have to blend quickly, Applied with a base the colors lasted most of the day. Best of all the matte tones didn't emphasize and settle into my lines and wrinkles.

Thanksgiving zoom meeting buddy
First time using this paint pot and it is going to be one of my few go-to makeups for my Zoom meetings. Wish it could have been little more orangish(for fun) but still very good color on my skin tone! I am little bit tanned than most Koreans. My eyelid color and the pot color is almost the same. I am glad I chose 'Laying Low' not 'Painterly'(would have been too bright for me). Texture is smooth and applies well with finger tips. My eyeliner did stay well for 9 hours on this. Usually my eyeliner(Bobbi Brown gel) melts on other eyeshadows after 4-5hours but this Paint Pot is different. Not really drying up on my eyelids. Why didn't I try this earlier? Hope MAC gives us more color options in the near future.

All day waterproof eye shadow base
This may be a great, long lasting eye shadow, but I have been using it exclusively for years as a waterproof eye shadow base. I paint an even layer of painterly or bare study over my entire eyelid then apply eye shadows and liners. My makeup will last all day despite tears, humidity, and other conditions. I have dry eye syndrome and my ophthalmologist has blocked my tear ducts to increase tear production. Occasionally, depending on environmental conditions, my eyes will begin to overproduce tears which spill over onto my cheeks. This causes me to constantly blot my eyes. No other eye shadow base, waterproof or not, has managed to last throughout a tearing episode except Mac Paintpots. These lengthen the wearing time of my entire eye makeup. A great product!
