V-Neck Jersey Maxi Dress

The cut of this dress is flattering and the color array is nice but if you have any shape, bulges, undergarment lines, etc. they will all show is in this dress. The fabric, while soft, is very thin and therefore instead of draping nicely it hangs right on the body showing off every imperfection, at least on my very imperfect pear-shapes body :(

I love this dress so much! The fabric is a very comfortable jersey knit, and it’s very flattering. I’m 5’5” and 115 lbs, and I originally ordered size XS-Reg, but it was too long. So I exchanged it for S-Petite, and that size fits perfectly. If you’re any shorter than 5’6”, I’d advise getting the Petite version, unless you wear heels.

I'm fairly small, but 7 months pregnant, all baby bump. Because of cut and fabric, it fits well even being so pregnant. I'm hoping to wear this this summer after I deliver baby, although it's attractive and comfortable to wear before too. I have tried on dozens of maxi dresses at every store I can think of, and this has been the best option by far. I'm 5'7", 170, and curvy (I almost always wear 14 in dresses/pants- occasionally a 12, large tops, and 36-38 D/DD in the chest). I almost never shop online because it's difficult to fit my body. I ordered the medium which worked for me because it provided some shape and definition without being too tight and making me insecure. My natural waist is higher, and the dress compliments my shape well by drawing the eye upward (I'm middle and bottom heavy). The v-neck is not too low for me, as some others have pointed out. I can wear normal undergarments without exposing anything. The material is heavier than many maxi's I've tried on, and has some bounce. It is very comfortable. It does show some bumps but nothing Spanx can't fix. The big drawback to this dress is the inconsistent length. I thought it may have been a fluke when others pointed this out in reviews, but sure enough it's true. I purchased 3 dresses to decide on color, and the royal blue (which is gorgeous) is significantly shorter than the red and navy - approx. 7-9 inches shorter. I bought them online because our store didn't have them in stock so I'm not sure how I can return it and guarantee that I'll receive a longer one. If you're petite, this may be a great option but I would highly recommend trying it on in the store to check the length.
