is this meant to wear?

This dress is so fun and beautiful, but doesn’t seem like it was made to actually be worn. The package it came in weighs 16.5 lbs, so my guess is the dress was 15lbs. It’s supported by 2 thin spaghetti straps. How is anyone supposed to wear that?
