Distressing on the pockets and frayed hems add to the lived-in look of inky bootcut jeans made with a hint of stretch. MOTHER has adjusted the proportions of their denim styles to complement petite body types. These LIL' MOTHER jeans feature a higher knee placement, along with shorter inseams and rises, so they hit correctly at every point.

Perfect for petites!
Thank you Nordstrom & Mother for finally giving us petite girls what we want--fashionable denim that fits properly! What a huge difference to have the rise, knee breaks, length etc. all just right. If you are 5' 4" or under please give petite jeans a try. I have been buying every pair of the Mother Lil's that I can find in my size.

NOT PETITE
Who at Mother is claiming their jeans marked as Petite are in fact made for a Petite woman? The person must be clueless. It is infuriating to put on “Petite” sized jeans just to find the back pockets are made for a larger-average sized person. Clearly the manufacturer just cut the original jeans shorter and slapped a “Petite” on the label, then called it a day. That is NOT HOW YOU MAKE A PETITE!!!! The pockets must be shrunk slightly and placed a little higher. The way these jeans are made, the pocket is huge, low and wide on your petite bum. Looks idiotic and ridiculous with the pockets spaced far apart AND disappearing down the curve of your bum. Plus the length is not really a petite length for jeans that are meant to be a little shorter. NO THESE ARE TOO LONG FOR THE AVG PETITE.

Finally, jeans cut for petite women
These jeans are so much better proportioned . Thx to Mother and Nordstrom. But honestly, the rise is still 10.5" (above my belly button), too high to sit comfortably- almost touches my bra! I am 5'0" and 120. They only reduced it by 1/ an inch!! I am 8" shorter than the fit model!! Size 25 is very fitted, going with a 26. Cropped length is still full length on me. Knees good.

almost perfect
This isn’t traditional thick mother denim material, it’s on the thinner side. And there is a smell, but a lot of new jeans have that smell and it always goes away once washed. These were super comfortable and fit well. it’s SO hard to find petite bootcut pants that are flattering. I wore them at work and got some compliments. I’m happy with them and thrilled Nordstrom is carrying this line for us lil ones.

Lil Hustler Not Guilty
I’ll start out by saying I’m a HUGE Mother lover. I have multiple pairs of this brand and I returned these because they were like a less worthy version of Mother. I don’t understand these. Thin and smelly is the best way to describe this pair. Nothing redeeming except for the shorter length. Returned. Sorry Mother! I still love you!

Runs extremely small
They run extremely small. I’m a 27P in all Mother jeans I’ve purchased so far and these are so tight I can’t wear them. The fabric is also much more stiff….likely due to the extremely dark black dye. The cut is adorable so I’m hoping I can exchange for a bigger size. Maybe they’ll soften in the wash? Definitely not the norm coming from Mother, unfortunately.
