Lauren II Sandal

I waited for these to come back in stock, but sad to say they arrived damaged. The top strap on both sandals appeared to have come separated from one side, resulting in a very loose strap, the cushion exposed, and small tears in the footbed (which seems to be covered in a very thin and fragile 'leather'). Part of the gold lettering on one sandal was worn away to almost nothing -- I would think they had been worn, but the bottoms were pristine. Given these issues--and that the strap issues were nearly identical on both sides--I wonder if they were just poorly made without much quality control. The footbed was nicely cushioned and I think they'd be comfortable if it wasn't for these issues. Lovely shoe, but I don't think I'd try my luck with an exchange since they seem pretty fragile.
