Pyrenees Waterproof Hiking Boot

I’ve had one other pair of KEEN boots and have also done lots of hiking and exploring in other brands. I wanted a classic leather boot for extra support and weather protection and this hit every single mark. Incredibly, they required no breaking in. I took them on a four day camping and hiking trip and put about 25-30 miles in them straight out of the box - so comfy! Great traction. And a great looking boot if you’re using for a travel shoe where you’ll do lots of on and off path exploring. I can see these being a go to for national parks trips, trips to Iceland or Scotland and the like, etc.

It’s good, but more better if it is Wide and oil resistant, aside for being Water resistant or Water froop.

I LOVE the solid leather boot. The shoe itself has great over pronation control. But the ankle portion rubs terribly. From my ankle bone up. I even tried not lacing them up all the way and they still rub so bad I can’t wear them.

Oh so comfortable & love the rugged, classic look - Love these boots !

I have been suffering from plantar fasciitis for over a year and have slight overpronation in my right foot. Anyone who has had plantar fasciitis knows how painful and exhausting it is. I work on a concrete floor for nine hours a day. Asolos of a similar style have become too costly for me even though I know they fit me perfectly. I looked at the Pyrenees online for some months, but am one of those people who feel more comfortable purchasing clothing and shoes I can try on in store. I am so glad I took the risk on these. I have worn them for three shifts. I have NO PAIN, not even in the mornings when I first get up. The arch support is excellent. I can tell the outer sole is absorbing the impact, much like standing on an anti-fatigue mat that remains under your feet perpetually. And they also double as an ankle brace, just as I hoped a mid-boot would. It has been raining much here, so I attest they ARE waterproof. I have only one complaint--the leather feels more like plastic to the touch--so I am not certain how long the upper will last, but for now, they are doing what I need them to do.
