Analissa Long Sleeve Lace Minidress

The sizing is off. I order a medium because of my measurements 28-inch waist and 36B but I would have been okay with a small. If you have a butt, your cheeks will show, and it bunches in the back where zipper is, and it does not look good for $250. I put it on and my Neice was like nice costume. I will not order from House of CB in the future.

I originally purchased the red version of this dress, but it is not true to U.S. sizing. I had to return it and reorder two sizes up, ultimately needing a Medium. The corset construction is what makes this dress incredibly flattering and gives it such a beautiful silhouette—when it fits correctly, it truly looks stunning on the body. That said, I really wish this dress were sold in physical stores, not exclusively online. Nordstrom is the only option for returns, and unfortunately, it is not easily accessible for everyone, which makes the return process inconvenient. I agree with many of the other reviews regarding the zipper issue. The dress bunches at the bottom of the zipper, which strongly suggests that the zipper is not sturdy enough to support the corset boning. For such a beautifully designed and high-end dress, this is disappointing and reflects poorly on the construction quality. After returning the red dress, I went directly to the House of CB website and noticed something important: even on the model wearing the red dress, the bunching at the zipper is clearly visible while she is walking. Interestingly, the black version of the same dress shows this issue far less—likely because the darker color disguises the flaw. As much as I loved the red, I ultimately chose to go with the black dress, as the zipper issue is significantly less noticeable. The design itself is gorgeous, but the zipper construction does not match the elegance of the corset or the price point.

This definitely feels small, but I gather that's the norm for House of CB dresses. Even other than size, I feel like it could be more thoughtfully constructed. The boning in the corset ends ~3ish inches below the bust, so on me it doesn't actually have a corset effect on the waist area. the shoulders are barely connected (like a strapless dress + sleeves, if that makes sense), which makes me feel like they'd fall down easily. The lace on the arms is quite rigid and I can tell it would rip easily. The bow on the front is weirdly long and also purely decorative, which is too bad because even with the A/C option the cups fit weirdly on my small (B) bust and it would be great to be able to use that tie to customize the sizing and make it more secure. The worst part is the bubbling on the back of the zipper, as other commenters have noted. Even though it zipped up easily in that area, the bubble makes it look like it doesn't fit correctly and it's really unflattering. I like the overall look of the dress but wish it fit better.
