Good Luck Mid Rise Barrel Jeans

I am 5'5", 130 pounds, slender. I am a regular size 26, but I go for a size 27 when the brand runs small in the waist. Blue Ground is the same Kismet color. I got a size 27 on Kismet color, the fit is perfect, color looks better than pictured, very flattering, soft, extremely comfortable, stylish, versatile denim for all seasons. Barnyard Blue fits too tight on the waist and shorter in length for both sizes 26 and 27 not flattering. Ultralight Bean in size 27 it is a softer denim, perfection. The new 100 years runs true to size, size 26 fits me perfect, actually looser in the waist than the other three colors mentioned before. Nevertheless, five stars because once the right size is found, the flattering fit, comfort and style is there.

These are so cute and fit perfectly. But knowing that Free People has so much competition from factory dupes, I'm surprised they would do something as thoughtless as sewing in the back label with fishing line. (Monofilament plastic thread.) I was so happy when I tried the jeans on because they fit so well, but moments later I was feeling needle-like jabs in the small of my back. Talk about irritating! It was intolerable. I did surgery on the jeans to remove the label, a thick layer of blue thread, and the clear monofilament wire underneath it all. Unfortunately it was hard to take all of that out without damaging the jeans a little, but I think they will be OK. With regard to fit, I tried the 27 first, which fit best but wasn't comfortable because I am long waisted so the mid-rise hit at an uncomfortable spot. 28 was more comfy.

Ok so I purchased literally 5 different pairs in 5 different “fabrics” (ie denim vs the pant vs the print) and they all fit differently. I am 5’4in, I weight 120lbs, and I typically wear a 25 in high waist denim. I have a short torso. SIZE UP IN THIS BARREL STYLE (at least 1 size!) AND THANK ME LATER. This barrel style isn’t meant to sit on your waist… they will look weird and you’ll be like, “I can’t pull this style off.” Oh, but you can. Size up, have them slung on your hips to give the barrel leg some slouch. The photo here is in the 26 but I ended up going with a 27 in these at the end of the day because I wanted them lower on the hips and I love the look, they don’t drag, they look cute rolled with loafers, and the barrel profile isn’t as pronounced.
