GLACIER - Vegan Down Classic Winter Parka Jacket

I hate attached hoods, and don't like down bubble coats, and have been looking for a couple years to replace my beloved but worn 25 year old parka style coat. This is it. I am usually a M or L in tops, so tried the L and XL to have room for a sweater. the L is fine. The pockets are nicely sized for a phone, and the extended ribbed cuffs with thumb holes are a nice add. The hood does zip off and on easily. I purchased the Crimson. It is a not too bright red. Even on sale it was more than I was hoping to spend, but I expect it to last many years. This will probably not be my main winter coat. I will wear this coat in Upstate NY stormy weather, not over 30 degrees - it would be too warm. I have a thinner quilted parka for over 30. I think too warm to wear to the grocery store. But a coat needed for outside in the very cold. My only negative: the collar, when buttoned up is very high. The model has a lovely long neck; alas, I do not.

Purchased coat in November, zipper completely broke in January and coat is unwearable. Had to contact Alpine North directly since they are the third party seller and the company refused to exchange or repair the item and would only offer a 20% discount on future purchases. I will absolutely never buy from this brand again!
