Kate Block Heel Boot (Women)

Arrived last night, smelled amazing, tried on and fit perfectly. They were in the closet off my bathroom and as I was walking into my bedroom I saw a 1.5 inch WOLF SPIDER! Ran to the closet and was able to QUICKLY put my boots on and they did amazingly quick squish work. Didn’t even stain. Saved so much money by not having to burn my house down.

OMG they fit! I’ve been searching for 10 years for wide calf boots that fit well, as my calves are muscular. I think my calf is not only wide, but the muscle is long, leaving most boots not able to zip up much past the ankle. So they may fit at the widest part, but nothing the middle part. These for the win! They look amazing! I also have a wider foot and despite looking narrow, they fit well there, as well. I wear 7.5 in sneakers and sometimes 7.5 is slightly big on me on nicer shoes. These heel does slip a tiny bit. But nothing I haven’t handled before (wide feet problem). So excited!

I really wanted to love these boots because Frye has such a great reputation, but I’m disappointed. I’ve worn them maybe once a month for about a year, and the sole has already started separating from the boot. For the price and brand name, I expected them to last much longer. The leather still looks beautiful, but the construction clearly didn’t hold up. I took good care of them and never wore them in harsh conditions, so it’s frustrating to see them fall apart with such light use. I wish Frye offered repair options or better quality control because I loved the look and style of these, but I can’t justify recommending them based on how they’ve held up.
